RC Snubber is a protection component designed to suppress sudden voltage spikes that may occur during the switching of inductive loads, consisting of a resistor and a capacitor. When inductive loads (such as motors) are suddenly removed from the circuit, a voltage rise can occur depending on the internal resistance of the coil. This situation can cause serious damage to connected devices.

The RC Snubber protects the switching elements in the circuit (such as relay contacts) and connected Shelly devices by providing a temporary AC path against these sudden voltage spikes. This way, the lifespan of the devices is extended, and the overall stability and safety of the system are improved.
